These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tangerine iOS application ("Tangerine", "the app"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Tangerine. By signing up you confirm you meet that requirement.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for safeguarding access to your linked Apple ID or Google account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Don't use Tangerine to upload illegal content, harass other users, attempt to break our security, or interfere with how the app works for anyone else. We can suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service.
Tangerine offers a one-off "Remove Ads" subscription that auto-renews yearly through your Apple ID. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. If you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current period; we don't issue partial refunds. Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled through Apple under their refund policy.
Without an active "Remove Ads" subscription, the app shows non-personalised banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob.
You retain ownership of the data you put into Tangerine (group names, expense descriptions, amounts, etc.). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and process that data so we can run the app for you and the people you share groups with.
Tangerine is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we'll give reasonable notice for material changes that affect you.
You can stop using Tangerine and delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
To the extent permitted by law, Tangerine is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £20, whichever is greater.
We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes will be handled in the competent courts of the Czech Republic. If you live in the EU, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
