Support
Do I need an account, or an internet connection?
Neither. Overline has no accounts and no sign-in, and every city ships inside the app — terrain, people and all — so it plays anywhere with no signal. Which is a little ironic, for this game.
What does the one-off purchase unlock?
Every city beyond the six free ones, and the campaigns set in them. It is a single payment, not a subscription.
Which cities are free?
London, New York, Tokyo, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro and Cape Town — one on each continent the game covers — together with the first three campaigns.
I bought the unlock but a city is still locked.
Open Unlock all and tap Restore purchase. That asks the App Store to re-check what your Apple Account owns. If it still doesn't appear, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on.
My mast covers far less than the reach it quoted. Why?
The reach on the band chips is the flat-ground figure, and the ground is not flat. A hill between the mast and the people stops the signal; a mast on the hill throws it further. Press and hold on the map before you build and the game shows exactly what that spot would cover, and how many people on it you don't already reach.
What do the four bands mean?
Lower frequencies travel further and carry fewer people; higher ones the reverse. 700 MHz reaches for miles and fills up fast; 26 GHz covers a few streets and carries a stadium. Most networks want more than one.
A district refused my mast.
Some districts won't take a tall mast without planning permission. You can build a 30 m mast anywhere the ground allows, or apply once — the fee is shown in the refusal — and that district never objects again.
My leased spectrum lapsed and my masts came down.
A lease runs for a fixed term, and the game warns you four months before it ends. Open Spectrum and tap Buy in before the term is up: the price you signed at is honoured, and the masts on that band are yours to keep.
Are the cities real?
Yes. The terrain is built from real elevation data, and where people live comes from real population grids, so a valley that blocks your signal is a real valley and the people you're trying to reach are where people actually are.
Where do the maps and data come from?
Elevation comes from open terrain tiles derived from public survey data. Population grids come from the European Commission's Global Human Settlement Layer. Place names and water are derived from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. These are files compiled into the app ahead of time, not services it contacts while you play.
How do I delete a game?
On the home screen, tap the ··· button on a city card and choose to delete it. Saves live only on your device, so it's gone immediately.
